Hmmm; Vathara definitely doesn't seem to particularly approve of pacifism in general, based on some of her ANs and some of the stuff in the fic itself, and I don't think she cares for energybending in particular either. On the other hand, the fic's ending doesn't really feel like a take that to canon's ending either, mostly because the final battle shakes out very differently - as has already been mentioned, Aang doesn't fight Ozai, and someone else is the actual end boss. So it's just a different situation.
