SUMMARY

The Time of Troubles continues, as this trilogy finally catches up to the storyline it’s supposedly tying into. In order to prevent the resurrection of Mystra, the armies of Zhentil Keep march on Shadowdale, under the command of the avatar of Bane. Sharantyr, Belkram and Itharr will have to fight alongside the Knights of Myth Drannor and Elminster to defend their home. Meanwhile, following the raid on the Castle of Shadows, a number of Malaugrym have escaped into Faerun and decided to do what they should have been doing to begin with, taking advantage of the chaos to kill and replace important people across Faerun in their bid for power. In the end, battle will be fought, and the schemes of the Shadowmaster High will at last stand revealed… and by this point, if you trust Ed Greenwood to stick to the landing on any of this, I don’t know what to say.
